Reopening ceremony

The reopening ceremony of St. Peter’s School was held on April 1, 2024. Principal Sr. Nirmal Mary, Manager Sr. Anila Jacob, Vice Principal Sr. Janet, and Staff Secretary lighted the lamp as a mark of the new beginning of knowledge and wisdom. The assembly was conducted by teachers. The unfurling of the school flag was a remarkable event of the day filling each peterian with pride and honor, followed by the school anthem by teachers. Sr. Nirmal Mary welcomed the children with her inspiring words. The vision and Mission of the school were refreshed in the minds of students through a stage performance by teachers. The assembly concluded with a speech by Ms. Nina Virmani giving tips and tricks to make this session more fruitful.

Welcome Ceremony Report

Welcome Ceremony for L.K.G. The school organized a reopening programme for our tiny tots on 3rd April 2024. The program started with the lighting of the lamp by manager Sr. Anila Jacob, Principal Sr. Nirmal Mary, Vice Principal Sr. Janet, L.K.G students, and the staff secretary. Principal Sr. Nirmal Mary welcomed the students and their parents in the Peterian family through her welcome note. A group dance and solo song performance by students of class U.K.G, I, and II added zeal to the ceremony. To guide the parents in the upbringing of their children, a talk session was organized by Ms. Anju Varshney, Ms. Ritu Adolphus, and Ms. Yukti Hans. The ceremony ended with the blessing of each student by the principal and vice principal.

Investiture Ceremony 2023-2024 

“Leadership is made for service”

20th April 2023, St.Peter’s announced its 33rd Student Council. The investiture ceremony is the first activity for any school. The ceremony symbolizes the trust and confidence that the staff and management have in the elected council.

The ceremony started with ceremonial flag hoisting followed by the pinning the badges. Donning the mantle of responsibility the newly elected cabinets pledged to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by the rules and regulations of the school. The school was honoured by the presence of Fr.Jomy Vazhakkalyil (Director, Infant Jesus School Dwaraka) as the chief guest of the occasion.

Parents Orientation Session 2023-2024

15th April 2023 Saturday –An orientation session was conducted for the Parents on the topic –“Empowering Parent”. The session was conducted class wise by the respective class teacher. The session imparted some basic information related to school formation, timings, assessment pattern for the current session. The teachers also explained the basic tact to deal with soft and tenders hearts of children.

17th April 2023 was a joyful day in St.Peter’s when the assembly arena was blossoming with the fragrance of Twin Siblings. The Twin Siblings were given special felicitation. 

Bal Bhawan Competition

Competitions helps students to develop their creativity and their skill sets. It also boosts their self-esteem, motivates them to become better and makes them mentally strong. Competition has become the only manner of measuring the calibre of students.
District level competitions are held every year in Bal Bhawan to make students know their calibre, foster motivation, leads to competence, self confidence and handle disappointments. This year also many competitions were conducted in Bal Bhawan (from October 14 to 19, 2022) and like every year our students showcased their talents in various competitions. Students participated in Group Dance, Patriotic Group Song, Fancy Dress, Sketching- on the spot, Poster Making, Solo Dance, Quiz Competition, Best Dramebaj, Fun Games, Solo Classical Dance, Rangoli Competition, Thali Pujan, Diya/Candel Decoration, Clay Modeling and Card Making competitions with full enthusiasm.
Kamaksh Bhatia won II Position in Fancy Dress Competition and selected for State level competition.

Student’s Picnic

The most awaited day of the year is the school picnic. The very purpose of school picnic is to provide great opportunity for students to cherish wonderful experience and a range of challenges that can contribute significantly to their personal development. Hence, it is important that students must participate in the picnics as it provides a holistic education.
The school had organised picnic for classes I to X. Private Deluxe buses, fully packed with students and teachers headed for Surajgarh, Rangmanch and Apnogarh. The students were extremely excited to reach the destination. All the students kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.
Students were welcomed by the people by applying “Tilak” on their foreheads. After entering the gate everybody was served with Breakfast having north Indian and south Indian cuisine. After breakfast students were taken to the activity area where also arrangements of Lemon juice, Jalgeera and Buttermilk was available for the students and teachers. Students enjoyed all the activities and learnt about the Rajasthani and Haryanvi culture. At 12:00 pm there was arrangement of snacks for the students and the teachers. There was, also arrangement of DJ for the students. All students danced on the floor with great energy on the thumbing dance numbers. Even the teachers could not resist the temptation of the dance. Students enjoyed camel, tractor and horse ride and felt top of the world. At 1:40 pm students & teachers were served
The lunch which contained Rajasthani and Haryanvi flavoured food was relished by everyone. Again, after lunch students enjoyed dance moves at mesmerizing songs. At 4:30 pm everybody was served with some snacks and soon after having it, students and teachers set out for their return. All the memorable movements were captured in their mobile by the teachers and shared with the students and parents in their class whatsapp group.

Youth Parliament 2022

Youth Parliament was conducted on 21st July, 2022. A team of 48 students from Grade IX and X participated in this. Participants enacted the role of the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Marshal, Treasury, Opposition, foreign delegates, Secretary General and the Press. Proceedings of the Parliament was in strict accordance to the rules laid down by Ministry of Parliamentary affairs for Kishore Sabha. Chief guest of the day was Mrs Hema Kaushik, District Protection Officer cum Child Marriage Prohibition Officer and Guest Of honour was Mrs Neena Sharma, Senior Panel Advocate, District Legal Services Authority. Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the young Parliamentarians.
Also present in the proceedings was Principal Sr Nirmal Mary and Vice Principal Sr Janet. The coordination work and script writing were done by Mrs Seema Sharma, Mrs Archana Sethi and Mrs M.N.Kavita Lonkar. Script, video, photos of the session were uploaded in the website of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. After scrutiny, Certificate of Appreciation was issued by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, to the principal, participating students and coordinators. It was a unique platform for the students to showcase their oratory skills and sound knowledge of current issues of our country.

Good Samaritan Group

OCTOBER ACT 2022

“Go………and do likewise.”

“Not all of us can do great things …….But we can do small things with great love”
Diwali the celebration of light and prosperity. It is a time to spread light of compassion and love
to all human kind. This Diwali was a special as well as different for the Peterians as the Samaritan
Club collaborated with “Kind Beings” celebrated this Diwali with “Vanaprastha Vridhjan Sewa
Sadan” Sect 28, Faridabad. A group of 25 club members with Mrs. Sarita Sharma and Mrs.Shiney
Abey, headed by Sr. Nirmal Mary and Sr. Janet visited the old age home. The musical group of
the club started the day with soulful devotional songs which was much appreciated by the
inmates of the house. The students got quality time to interact with the elderly people and
shared some priceless golden moments. Later on the club members presented the Diwali
hampers to each and every inmates which added joy to the day. Mrs.Neeru Kukreja rendered
her selfless love to the elderly people by giving them a platter of healthy fruits and wished for
their longevity and healthy life ahead. The day was well cherished by some fun filled talks and
smiling clicks. This gesture was planned so that our children will grow old with love and wisdom.

Teacher’s Day Celebration

Teachers’ Day is celebrated annually on September 5 to mark the birthday of the country’s former President, scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna awardee, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was born on this day in 1888.
Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic and its subsequent lockdowns for two years, the schools were shut and Teachers’ Day celebrations were given a miss. 
However this year in St. Peter’s School,  Teacher’s Day was celebrated with great pomp and show. The program was headed by Class VII A , B and C. To make this day memorable for each and every teacher class VII students and teachers took part with great zeal and enthusiasm . 
Handmade decorations and hampers by the students stole the show. Class teachers, subject teachers and admin staff were respectively offered garlands in the ceremony. Dance performances and skit by students added vehemence to the show. Class X students surprised the whole staff with their melodious mash-up song performance.

Online English Speech Competition: – St. Euphrasia

This competition was organized in September by CMC Amal Jyothi Region Jaipur in collaboration with St. Peter’s Convent School Sec 88, Greater Faridabad. It was conducted in 3 categories- Class 1-3, Class 4-7 and Class 8-10 and each category has given a topic of their level. There are nearly 40 students took part from different levels from our school. I have collected the names of those who wish to participate and made a WhatsApp group and given some content of their topics
and instructions regarding the competition. The videos are sent through Telegram app to the given specific numbers. All of them
On 30th September, the result was declared and our 2 students secured 3rd positions: Alana Remya Jeneesh from Class 3A and Enakshi from Class 9C. They were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1000 and a certificate.

Rashtriya Ekta Divas (NATIONAL UNITY DAY)

The Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day) is observed on 31st October every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. It is not only Commemorates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, but also reaffirms the inherent strength and resilience of our people to withstand threats to the security, unity and integrity of the country.

As per CBSE Circular, to mark the occasion in a befitting manner with great enthusiasm, ‘Unity Run’ was organized by our school this year. Students of all the four houses along with school management and senior faculty members took part in the event. The run coincided with the morning assembly. At the start of the run lamp lighting, and malya Arpan was done at the Photo of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel by School Manager, Sr. Anila Jacob, Principal, Sr. Nirmal Mary, Vice Principal, Sr, Janet and Staff Secretary Ms. Sudha Chawla. Principal, Sr. Nirmal Mary briefed students about the importance of the day. Yash Singh student of grade VIII spoke about the role of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in National Integration.

Good Samaritan Group September ACT 2022

School is a temple of learning, where a student study not only from books but the lesson of life is taught outside the books. For this noble thought the Samaritan Club always thinks innovatively to imbibe the virtue of empathy for the needy, so that the world will become a better place.
September was entitled as “Cloth Donation Drive”. Keeping the festive season in the air, the Samaritan club members and teachers in charges Mrs. Sarita Sharma and Mrs.Shiney Abeyin collaboration with KIND BEINGS initiated the cloth donation drive. The cloth donation drive was specially designed for the labour class men and small kids. The club members drafted a notice and was circulated among the class group asking for the donation. Peterians responded very generously and within a short span of time we received a good and quality collection of clothes for the labour class men and small kids. The clothes were nicely packed and were loaded in the school bus and were handed over to the KIND BEINGS. Further the members distributed the clothes to the needy respectively. 
This act of kindness taught our students to be happy in what they have and not to feel sad for what they desire for as there are many people in the world who are still struggling for their basic needs.

Children’s Day Celebration

On November 14 every year, Children’s Day is celebrated all across India. It commemorates the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, who, due to his love for children, was fondly known as Chacha Nehru. The day emphazies to raise awareness of children’s rights, care and education. This year, the day marked 133rd birth anniversary of Pandit Nehru, who was born in 1889 in Allahbad.
Our school has also conducted class wise celebration in the morning in zero period. Class teachers along with the subject teachers made the day memorable for the students by singing songs, enacting their characters, dancing with them, playing games and teaching them some moral values and capturing the movements in their mobiles. In the last period sweets were distributed among the children.

CBSE seminar for Teachers on Financial Literacy and Digital Tools  on 8th Sept, 2022

A team of 25 teachers attended the seminar held in Faridabad Model School under the aegis of Hub Leader School. The seminar was conducted by CBSE and the resource person was Mr Himanshu Sharma. The seminar aimed to provide a wide knowledge on Financial Literacy and the digital tools for financial planning. Mr Shatma emphasized upon the need to Save and Invest money for retirement plans. He touched upon various options for Savings like SB account, NPS, Shares, Bonds , Mutual Funds etc. He also advised on various financial modules to save tax.
Any grievance related to Banks or any other financial institution can be reported to the authorities dealing with them like Pension Fund Regulatory Authority Insurance Regulatory Authority etc. Tips were also given on keeping oneself safe from cyber frauds or scams. Sound thumb rule of financial planning was provided. A realistic view of saving and investing was provided to the delegates with a clear perspective on financial discipline.

International Yoga Day Celebration

“ Yoga is the journey of the self through the self and to the self” – The Bhagavad Gita.

International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June annually. On this day the whole world comes together and practice yoga Asanas for better health and well-being. As per the invitation received from Office of District Education, Faridabad our School participated in the celebration of ‘8th International Yoga Day’ on 20th and 21st June 2022 at Sports Complex, Sector- 12, Faridabad, wherein approximately 50 students of our school participated. The students were headed and guided by our dedicated PTI s Mr. Rajkumar , Mr. Devesh, Ms. Usha and other teachers. On 20th June, the event culminated with a marathon in which our students participated with great zeal.

Summer Camps

Summer vacation is the most awaited holidays for the school students. But apart from relaxing, this is also a time to hone and learn new skills . In this Summer vacation St. Peter’s School organized SUMMER Camps for its students. It included
• ‘KIDS FITNESS CAMP’ to practice yoga and Archery from 1st June to 7th June 2022.
• ‘Let’s Smash’ a table tennis Camp, from 26th May to 2nd June 2022.
• ‘Art & Craft online summer camp’ from 8th June to 15th June 2022.
• ‘ Dance Summer Camp’ from 25th May to 30th May 2022.














GOOD SAMARITAN GROUP MAY VISIT 2022

“People with good intentions make promise, people with good character keep them.”

A promise was made by the Good Samaritan Group at the threshold of the academic year, to inculcate the value of empathy and humanity among young Peterians towards the unprivileged.
Under this venture, the girls of class IX-X thought to celebrate “Mother’s Day” in a unique way. Keeping their wishes, under the leadership of Sr. Nirmal Mary – principal, Mrs. Sarita Sharma and Mrs. Shiney Abey organized a special Health Awareness Session for the ladies of Santhosh Nagar Sector 30-31 Faridabad. A special “Nukkad Natak” was organized by the girls of class IX-X giving awareness about personal hygiene for ladies. The girls actively participated in the program which motivated the ladies to take care of themselves and their daughters.
A special interaction session was also conducted in which the young girls stressed the ladies to send their daughters to school and to secure their future through imparting education. A special talk on ladies’ health was given by Dr. SHIMONA GALHOTRA. The doctor gave a session on various parameters to maintain good health of girl child. The ladies of Santosh Nagar understood the need to keep themselves safe from all dreadful diseases which are caused by unhygienic conditions. The students of class IX-X also distributed commodities to maintain personal hygiene.

Bidding Farewell

13th May, 2022. The students of St. Peter’s school with heavy heart bid farewell to Sr. Tessy Rose – Manager of St. Peter’s school , Mrs. Rema Sudhakaran – Vice Principal, Sr. Anette – Finance Manager, Sr. Divya – Teacher. Though the moment was sad, but as a token of love and to express gratitude towards their selfless work a short cultural programme was organized by the students. The function began with the ceremony of lighting of lamp by Sr. Tessy Rose, Mrs. Rema Sudhakaran, Sr. Anette and Sr. Divya. Students presented songs , dance and skit for the occasion. Sr. Nirmal Mary appreciated each of these special members for their sincerity and dedication towards the school. Mrs. Rema Sudhakaran and Sr. Tessy Rose addressed the students and encouraged them to work hard and follow the principle of self discipline to achieve success in life.

GOOD SAMARITAN GROUP ( Humanity Is The Supreme Religion )

Serving the community is the need of the hour and it’s to be passed from one generation to another. Keeping this into consideration ‘Good Samaritan Group’ was formed in St. Peter’s School. It aims to inculcate the moral values of humanity and empathy towards the unprivileged.

The project of ‘Good Samaritan’ Group for the month of April was “Good hygiene -an easy way for healthy living”. It was organized at SANTOSH NAGAR, FARIDABAD on 29th April 2022 under the leadership of Ms. Shiney and Ms. Sarita. The program included a NUKKAD NATAK in which our 20 boys participated. It aimed at spreading awareness of personal hygiene among the mass. A talk on “IDEAL PARENTING” was given by Mrs. Seema Sharma guiding the parents to how to take care of their teenage children and to mould them to be good citizens of tomorrow . As an act for spreading awareness of personal hygiene among the people, bathing Soaps were distributed by young Peterians.

Club Inauguration

With the commencement of the academic session 2022-23, Principal – Sr. Nirmal Mary declared the formation of Clubs. A Student can choose to be a part of any club according to his/her personal interest and talent. Each club is headed by Teacher Incharges and a student Secretary. These clubs will perform various activities throughout the year and thus give opportunities to students to hone their talents and also prepare them for various competitions. These Clubs will help students to improve their leadership as well as their social skills.

In this academic session 9 clubs and 1 group is formed i.e., Eco Club , Oratory Club, Quiz Club, Archery Club, Chess Club, Table Tennis Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Art and Craft Club, Good Samaritan Group. In the month of April , 2022 the inauguration of clubs took place. Each club under the able guidance of the Teacher incharge was given a day between 25th -28th April , 2022 to conduct the inauguration ceremony in the school premises. The inauguration ceremony began with prayer song followed by students performance showcasing their talents and describing the aim and objective of their club. The ceremony culminated with motivating words by the guest – teacher for each club.

Investiture Ceremony

On 29th April, 2022 the investiture and Oath taking Ceremony of School’s Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captain, Vice Captain and Deputy Captain of four different houses of the school i.e, Rose House, Sunfower House, Shamrock House and Hollyhock House took place. The incharges of each house along with their teacher incharges performed a short and energetic March-Past drill in school assembly ground. Principal- Sr. Nirmal Mary entrusted the incharges their respective badges and sashes on the stage. The incharges took pledge to perform their duty with utmost sincerity in front of the whole school. Each House Captain proudly declared the motto of their house for this academic session and promised to accomplish it with full dedication.

Orientation Programme for Parents : 2022-23

An Orientation Program for the parents on the topic: “Nurturing a self-empowered child: the art of Modern Parenting” was organised by the class teachers of Classes L.K.G. to X on 9th April 2022 , Saturday at 5:00 p.m. on MS Teams.
The session started with a prayer song followed by welcoming of the parents. Parents were re-introduced to the school’s Vision and Mission. Through short videos and PowerPoint presentations teachers motivated the parents to take care of their ward and make them dedicated, committed and focused on academics and to showcase their talents in both curricular and extra-curricular activities. Through the session teachers encouraged the parents to make their wards independent to some extent. They guided the parents with some techniques that will help their children to develop 21st century skills like communication skill, leadership skill, Team work, gain valuable soft skill and knowledge about themselves. ‘As healthy body resides in healthy mind’ teachers guided the parents to give nutritious food to their children to build up their immunity. They motivated them to give wings to their ward’s dreams by helping them to achieve it. The last part of the session included answering various queries of the parents. In the end teachers thanked the parents for their valuable presence. The Orientation programme was very much appreciated by the parents as it helped them to understand that how they can together work for the development of their children and make them better citizens of the nation.

Welcome Program for Class LKG 2022-23

Praveshika Utsav; a welcome programme for the new comers of L.K.G, for the academic session 2022-23 this programme was organized on 4th April 2022. The welcome program started with a short prayer by Arnav Chauhan of Class UKG followed by reading of a passage from the Holy Bible by Shiphra of Class 2nd. Thereafter, parents were welcomed by Mrs. Pooja Ahuja. Dance performance by Swara of Class UKG filled everyone with enthusiasm. On the auspicious occasion Principal – Sister Nirmal Mary addressed the parents and informed them about the school’s rich history and its vision and mission. She also explained that for the holistic development of children both parents and teachers play a collaborative role. The programme also included a ‘Video Show’. Motivational talk by Mrs.Reeta Rastogi on ‘Role of Positive Parenting’ made parents aware of how to take care of their children in this modern era . The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Mrs Ritu Adolphus.

Beginning of new Academic Session (2022-23)

4th April ’22 marked the first day of the new academic session 2022-23 for St. Peter’s School. The day started with the morning assembly conducted by the students of class X-A. Principal Sr.Nirmal Mary, Manager – Sr. Tessy Rose , Vice Principal – Mrs. Rema Sudhakaran, Staff Secretaries- Ms. Sudha Chawla and Ms. Shivani Krishnan graced the occasion by lighting the lamp. The motivating words of Sr. Nirmal Mary (Prinicpal) inspired the students to set the goal for themselves for this academic session and strive towards it with full energy. The cultural programme presented by the students made the first day very joyous for everyone.

Teacher’s Orientation Programme : 2022-23

To begin the new academic session 2022-23 with smart planning , zeal and passion an orientation programme for teachers was organized on 1st April 2022 at St. Peter’s Convent School , Sec 88, Greater Faridabad . The orientation programme was conducted on the topic ‘Joyful Learning : Realignment Post Covid – 19 (2022-23)’. The resource person of the day were Dr. Sneha Saha, Prof. Hema M.A. and Prof. A. Sabu John.

Dr. Sneha Saha highlighted the problems faced by the students during the online classes and suggested few methods to bridge the gap and make learning joyful for them. Prof. A. Sabu John proficiently demonstrated few effective classroom practices to foster metacognition in students to increase their learning and academic performance. Prof. Hema M.A. skillfully presented some stress management techniques and ways to inculcate life skills among students.

Teacher’s Orientation Programme : March 2022

On 28th March, 2022 a short orientation programme was conducted by Mrs. Rema Sudhakaran – Vice Principal on the topic ‘self knowledge’ . The session included activities and explanation of need of self knowledge. Mrs. Rema explained the usage of SWOT analysis to know and understand ourselves in precise manner. She also explained about the role of vision and mission in our life and the institution where we work and how without losing one’s identity and following institutional culture we can work as a team towards institution’s goal.

Bidding Farewell to Class X Students (of Academic session 2021-22).

To convey prayerful wishes for the Board Examination and the life ahead a Farewell Ceremony was organised on 31st  March (Thursday) for the students of class X batch 2021-22.The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by Principal – Sr. Nirmal Mary, Manager – Sr. Tessy Rose, Vice Principal – Mrs. Rema Sudhakaran, Staff secretaries – Mrs. Vanessa D’Sylva and Mrs. Pooja Ahuja . To make the occasion joyous various cultural programmes were performed by class IX students . Based on the results of competitions  Miss St. Peter (Garima Ahuja) and Mister St. Peter (Parth Kalra) were  selected. There were other titles too. Nikhil Wilson and Anshika Bisht were awarded with the certificate of  ‘All Rounder’. Garv Bhatia and Aparna Saini were awarded with the certificate of “Sports Champion”. The Programme culminated with lunch.

Today on 28th April,2021 was the inauguration ceremony of our Art club. Today’s special guest were Mrs. Rema Sudhakaran and Mrs. Vanesa in presence of Club Co-ordinator Renuka Singh & Alisha nath. There was ribbon cutting ceremony on the online platform.  We all were guided through the program by Khanak . The program went smoothly without any disturbance. A token of love was presented by Tushar Chopra to our guests. The Audience were addressed by Mrs. Rema,  President and Vice President. The participants discussed there experiences and expectations. After everything was done the program was ended by a vote of thanks by Purvi.  

We look forward  to more such meetings to learn new things.

“Dance is the joy of movement and the heart of life.”

Dance club has been formed to polish dance skills of our students. Today we have celebrated the inauguration of our dance club. Inauguration began with welcome note from Sara of class-8th.Prayer and prayer song done by sawarni of class-4th.We dance to please God, One beautiful prayer dance done by kumud of  class-4th.We dance to express not to impress. With this note on her mind Enakshi of class 8th recited a very deep thoughtful poem on dance.India is known all over the world for our cultural dances so, three students(kabir, Bipash and Simran) of our st.peter’s family decide to show colours of state.Our president of dance club thank all the guest and show gratitude with vote of thanks.At the last our respected vice principal Mrs Rama sudhakaran encourage all the students and congratulate students for successful inauguration ceremony.

Online: Parent Teacher Meeting

1st June, 2020 : Parent Teacher Meeting is an important aspect of teaching learning Process. It’s a time when both parents and teacher can come together and discuss about their children and work together for their holistic development. PTM becomes even more important when our students who for the first time are learning through on-line classes. With this in aim the school organised a Parent Teachers Meeting – online on 1st June 2020. Parents actively participated in the session. Parents discussed about their child’s performance during their on-line class so that gap which is created by on-line teaching can be bridged. Parents feedback were appreciated.

Nukkad Natak @ Surajkund

7th February 202 : 15 Students of class VIII, IX and X presented a nukkad natak at Surajkund Fair 2020 on Cleanliness and Drug Free society. Through their nukkad natak students presented the importance of cleanliness and drug free society.

13th February , 2020: Students of St. Peter’s school presented folk dance at Surajkund. The performing students received cash award of Rs. 3100 and certificate for their best performance.

21st Century Teachers : Workshop for Teachers

14th January 2020 : A workshop on ‘Skills  needed to be 21st Century Teacher’ and ‘Ways to develop life skills among students’  for the teaching staff of St. Peter’s School was conducted by Mrs. Indu Vasudeva and Mrs. Vanessa D’sylva  . This workshop provided teachers with an overview of how to teach students in this WEB DRIVEN WORLD. This session outlined the role teachers  can play,  to help students understand the educational and ethical impact of their time being spent online.

This workshop also refreshed  the teachers with the methods that can be used to develop life skills among students ,  which will help them to cope with the stressful situations around them and live a purposeful life.

Orientation programme for Parents

14th December 2019: ‘Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic  parents’ so, in in order to provide a conducive environment at home too an orientation programme was conducted for the parents by the respective class teachers. The aim of the programme was to provide guidance to the parents so that they can bring up their child as morally upright citizens. The programme highlighted the need of 21st century children , and guided parents not to stop them but guide them along with teachers in this process of learning. Parents appreciated the step taken by the school in raising up their children in an effective way.

FAREWELL TO CLASS X STUDENTS

8th February 2020: As the year draws to a close to its academic session, the school bids farewell to its class X students. Class IX students along with School Management and teachers organized a farewell party – ‘Nostalgia’ on 8th February 2020. Class IX students sang songs and presented dance to make the day memorable.  Dance performance by  Mrs. Kavita Lonkar, Mrs. Seema Sharma and Mrs.  Ritu Batra was cherished the most. The honoring of titles through certificates for Good Penmanship,  Good Samaritan, Best Sports Player, Full Attendance, Best Drawing Artist added zeal to the atmosphere. Swati Kandwal of X – B was entitled as ‘Ms. Peter’ and Harshit Madaan of X – C was entitled as ‘Mr. Peter’.

Orientation Programme

(for drivers, conductors and bus caretakers)

19th December 2019: An orientation program was conducted for the drivers, conductors, and caretakers of the school bus by Mrs. Reeta Rastogi (Teacher). It aimed at providing the guidelines to be followed on bus as well as on school premises for the well being of students. They were also informed about the ill effects of smoking and drinking and suggested some ways in which one can come out from such addiction.

Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat

November – December 2019 : ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’,  A programme launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister on Ekta Diwas (31st October 2015) on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel to foster national Integration. As per the instruction of CBSE a series of activities related to our partnering state ‘Telangana’  were conducted in the month of November and  December 2019. To develop linguistic capacity of students,  basic alphabets of  Telugu language were taught to the students. Activities like speaking proverb, quiz  and news related to Telangana was presented in the morning assemblies . Students actively participated in the programme.

हिंदी विकास मंच (नीति आयोग भारत सरकार) ने केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (सी .बी. एस. ई .) नई दिल्ली द्वारा आयोजित सत्र 2018-19  से दसवीं कक्षा की परीक्षा में राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र  दिल्ली के अंतर्गत आने वाले विद्यालयों से हिंदी विषय में शत -प्रतिशत अंक अर्जित   कर उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले छात्रों एवं उनके हिंदी शिक्षकों  को एयरफोर्स ऑडिटोरियम ,सुब्रोतो पार्क ,नई दिल्ली में 15 अक्टूबर ,2019 को पुरस्कार समारोह का आयोजन  किया । सेंट पीटर स्कूल ,सेक्टर 16 फरीदाबाद की छात्रा ‘ चारवी  नेगी ‘  को  ‘ज्ञान कुंज पुरस्कार ‘ तथा  शिक्षिका ‘श्रीमती सीमा राणा ‘ को  ‘भाषा सारथी पुरस्कार ‘ से सम्मानित किया गया ।

15th July, 2019 : As per the instruction of District Education Officer ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyaan- rally ‘ was conducted in the school on 15th July 2019 . The rally marched through Daulatabad village (sec 16) , Faridabad  thereby reciting slogans and spreading awareness about the need to save  water . Students prepared informative banners and posters to convey the message. Students even presented NukadNatikato catch the attention of audience and artistically conveyed the message to common people.

26th November, 2019: An important day in the history of Independent India as on this day in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted and it came in to effect on 26 January, 1950. Therefore, marking the dawn of a new era. To acknowledge the contribution of the framers of the Constitution and to aggravate the students regarding the prominent values and duties Constitution Day(संविधानदिवस) was celebrated in St.Peter’s School , Sec 16/A, Faridabad beginning with the lighting of lamp, followed by informative skit demonstrating rights and duties of citizens , speech expressing the framing of constitution. Students took pledgeto play their rightful role in strengthening the Indian Democracy .A quiz was conducted to increase the general knowledge of students about our constitution. The reading of Preamble took place at 11:00 a.m. This special assembly was conducted by our VII class students.

Cleanliness Drive(2019-20)

20th -21st September 2019 :‘Swachhata Hi Seva’Campaign 2019 was conducted in the school. As a part of campaign a survey of nearby village ‘Daultabad’ was conducted. A rally of students marched out reciting slogans spreading awareness of swachhata hi sewa. Students prepared paper bags from waste paper to promote the use of paper bags and  spread the message ‘Say No to Plastic Bags’ thus an effort to reduce non-biodegradable waste. The school spread the message of ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’ by getting removed a heap of garbage from the village thus providing a neat and germ free surrounding to villagers.

12th October, 2019 : A night camp – “Lionheart” was organized in school  to introduce the students of class IX and X to a regimented way of life. Mr. DiveshKhanna(P.T.I) was the Incharge of the camp. He was accompanied by Mr. Nikhil Bhatia and Mr. Kamlesh as guest trainers who conducted NCC training. Students of class IX & X participated enthusiastically and zealously. The main purpose of the camp was to inculcate the values of discipline, teamwork and readiness among the students for every situation occurring in life.

29TH August 2019, Thursday: “Fit India Movement “ was celebrated in our school as per the instruction given by the government of India, Ministry of Human resource. ‘Fit India Movement’  was launched by the Honorable Prime Minister on 29th August 2019 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Arrangements were made in the school for viewing and hearing of the live telecast of the event. Students attentively as well enthusiastically participated in the Fitness pledge taking ceremony. Apart from it student also actively participated in the Mass PT Programme, Yoga and Running activities conducted in the school for the occasion. Sports Quiz competition was also conducted in the school to spread awareness among students regarding the importance of physical fitness along with the mental development.

READING WEEK CELEBRATION

Audio-Reader: To promote digital reading, on 11th September 2019, students of all classes read audio text based on Gandhi ji’s works on their class Digital Board.

Swachhata Reading: It is our social responsibility as citizens of India to fulfill Gandhi ji’s vision of clean India. With this perspective students of various classes read all the aspects related to cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation. On 12th September 2019, Swachhata Abhiyan was organized in school and students cleaned their classes with full enthusiasm.

Book Exhibition: On 14th September 2019 Book Exhibition was organized in our school library. Book of various variety, authors, genres and subjects were put up in the exhibition for the students to take the pleasure of the world of books and knowledge. The books displayed were for all the age groups.

5th Sep, 2019:As per the instruction of District Education Officer,  painting competition was organized in the school related to the ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA)’  a water conservation campaign. Students enthusiastically participated in the competition and artistically  prepared posters. The posters portrayed   the need to save water and water conversation techniques.

Students enthusiastically participated in the above mentioned activities. It will help them in their character formation and thus build a strong nation where values like truthfulness, non-violence and patience will exist.

29th June Orientation Programme

29th June, 2019 :An orientation programme was organized on 29th June 2019. The resource person was MrsRachnaBhasin. The day began with a prayer session. The theme of the orientation centred  aroundself actualization and the various ways we can establish effective communication. Activities were  conducted effectively.

Principals and teachers of St Peter’s School- Sector 16A and St Peter’s Convent School – Sector 88 attended the session. New members of the management were introduced and welcomed.

Khadi Wearing Day

Oct – December 2019 : As a part of celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a series of activities on Khadi wearing day was conducted in the school. Students came to school in different Khadi dresses thus representing khadi as one of our modern dressing styles. Students visited Khadi Gram Udyog, Faridabad where they learnt about the availability of different khadi dresses to suite people of all age group. Students were informed about the process of khadi making through video on their respective class smart board. A drawing activity on the topic ‘Swadeshi Movement in India ‘ was conducted in the school. Students enthusiastically participated in this informative programme.

Independence Day

Independence Day was celebrated in the school campus with a high spirit of patriotism and belongingness to the country. National Flag was hoisted by Rev.Fr. Cyriac. A colourful program was presented by all the students belonging to section “A”……The program conveyed the message of unity in diversity…

First Aid Training Programme

23rd May 2019: First Aid and Home Nursing Training programme were conducted for teaching and non-teaching staff on 22 and 23rd May 2019. The aim of the training programme was to equip the staff members with the right technique to provide immediate help to an injured person. Resource person: Mr B. B Kathuria –  lecturer in first-aid and home-nursing has skillfully conducted the training session. About 41 staff members participated in the session

Fire Safety Training Programme

17th May 2019: Fire Safety Training Programme was conducted in the school whereby students and staff members were trained and briefed about fire safety measures like how to use fire extinguishers and to use a fire alarm system to control fire accidents in the school premises.

Celebrating : International Labour Day

1st May, 2019: International labour day was celebrated in St. Peter’s School with great zeal. It aimed to honour and appreciate the selfless service rendered by the working-class people of the school. Principal-  Sr. Nirmal Mary along with Vice Principal Sr. Cherupushpam gave away a token of love to each one of them, she also appreciated their hard work and dedication towards the school through her speech. Students presented a small skit in front of the whole school appreciating their selfless service rendered to the society and conveying the message that we too must show our love and concern towards them.

REPUBLIC DAY

The fervor of freedom the 26th January on the nostalgic occasion of this red-letter day,70th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and patriotism at St. Peter’s School Sect16 A on 25 January 2019 by the “C” sections of all the classes.

The festivities commenced on a musical note. School Band played the welcome note that reverberated everyone with the feelings of patriotism. The entire school was resplendent in the shades of tricolor. Many dance performances stole the hearts of everyone. The ceremony began with the auspicious lamp lighting by the revered chief guest Group Captain P.S. Nair.

The power and energy exhibited by the youngsters were mesmerizing. The chief guest, in his speech, exhorted every student to maintain the dignity of being a citizen of a Republic and emphasized on the self-discipline. Remarkable mime presentation and heart touching dance drama based on the life of a soldier brought tears in everyone’s eyes.

A colorful display of flying tricolor balloons adorned the sky, giving the sense of freedom to everyone. Young Peterians took the pledge to uphold the honour dignity, integrity, and uniqueness of our nation.

Joy of Sharing

Christmas is all about giving and sharing joy and happiness among those who are less privileged. St.Peter’s School management,teachers and students spent a day and shared happiness with the people who are neglected and unattended by the society. The school visited “Snehayalam” a center for old women and disabled run by the Sisters of destitute. St.Peters students contributed their best in the form of kitchen items ,stationery articles to show the love and concern to the inhabitants of the center

Eat Right India

A healthy week was observed in the school from 13th Dec to 21st Dec 2018 to inculcate healthy eating habits among the students. Various programs and competition were conducted to promote eating of fruits and salads. Students very actively participated in the healthy drive and switched off from junk foods. Various activities like salad making, vegetable -fruits carving, Sprouts Day, Fruits Day etc were conducted to  spread the awareness of healthy food habits.

Prabhat Pheri

Prabhat Pheri was conducted by class V-VII students to awaken the spirit of national unity. The morning pheri enlighten the young minds by remembering the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. (50 students participated)

Unity Run

Run for the unity….. class IX and X students ran with full vigour and enthusiasm to spread the feeling of patriotism. The rally started from the school, St.Peter’s School Sect 16/A Faridabad and marched to nearby area and reached the school itself .The Unity Run awaken the spirit of patriotism. (50 students participated)

Pledge was taken by the whole school during the morning assembly.

Paragraph Reading

A paragraph on the contribution of Sardar Vallbhbhai Patel for National Unity was uploaded in the school Digi-Board system. The paragraph was read by the whole school during the first hour of the school. The reading session made the students understand and value the immense contribution of Sardar Patel towards nation building.

Teachers Day

“A teacher takes a hand opens a mind and touches a heart”. In this era of Digital World…. where virtual teachers have occupied the information world…..Peterians believe that no virtual teacher can take the place of their teaches, who have transformed their lives for a better tomorrow. To show their respect, love and gratitude to the teachers Class X presented a program through which the students thanked each teacher for showing the way …..helping them to spread their wings and fly high…..

St.Euphrasia Day

St. Euphrasia Day was celebrated by Peterians in the morning assembly. Students of class VII A presented a marvellous program showcasing the life and faith of St. Euphrasia…Sr. Nirmal Mary enlighten the students through a speech explaining the journey of St. Euphrasia from a simple life to a saint. The program certainly helped in the faith building of the students.

Eid…

The festival of Eid was celebrated in the school. A meaningful message was conveyed by Class VIII C through morning assembly. The program showcased that festival does not believe in extravagance but to share the joy with all people.

ART FEST 2018-19

St. Peter’s School always believe in the holistic development of the child. To inculcate the values of team spirit, leadership and innovation, an Art Fest will be organised in the month of October 2018.The key idea behind organizing the fest is to bring out the inborn hidden talent of a child also to make the child ready for the outer competitive world. Spiritual Class-for Teachers

Retreat for teachers

A retreat for teachers was held on 7th July, 2018. It was a unique way to enrich the mindset of teachers with graceful words of Rev. Fr. Cyriac, Vicar General of Faridabad-Delhi Diocese. The retreat began with a short invocation to the Almighty. Rev Fr Cyriac led the teachers to a short journey of self-actualization and mindfulness techniques. It was reiterated that teachers should appreciate small things in their colleagues as well as the students in order to strengthen the bond of learning. Family bonding and integrity play a large role in the mental makeup of any individual. Members of the teaching fraternity of St. Peter’s Convent School, Sector 88, Fbd and St. Peter’s School, Sector 16A attended the retreat. Manager, Sr Anupa Maria, Principals of both schools, Sr. Nancy and Sr. Nirmal Mary and Vice Principal Sr. Sharon graced the event. Prayer songs filled the minds of the participants with joy and grace. The retreat ended with words of gratitude.

MMR Vaccination

As per Haryana Health Department order, MMR vaccination was given to students under 15 yrs of age. The campaign   was a great success as almost 1700 children were vaccinated in the school campus. The school teachers and the class X students energetically worked in a team for the conduct of the campaign.

The school reopened on 2nd April 2018…with the lighting of candle by the principal Sr. Nirmal Mary..vice principal Sr.Sharon,staff secretary Mrs. Indu Vasudev and office staff Mr.Jugal Kishore.  Sr.Nirmal Mary and Mrs.Indu Vasudeva with a student kindled the light of knowledge and wisdom…The new academic session ensures new hope and faith to succeed…………
